KRBD-FM seeks a qualified team member to join our staff as a news director, responsible for the overall management of the station’s news programs and online news content. Duties include editorial supervision, coordination of coverage, reporting, as well as hosting of news programs.
We are seeking an experienced journalist with outstanding news reporting, excellent interviewing and writing skills, a strong grasp of journalism ethics, and a background in Alaska issues. Candidates should be comfortable with an array of new technology and social media. Experience in broadcast journalism preferred, but not required. A bachelor’s degree in journalism is required.
